Black Planet is a gritty, dancefloor-first collective born from 90s alternative club culture. Our nights, from hard techno and queer kink parties to retro raves, are built on sex-positive, kink-positive, and queer-centered values. 

We’re looking for Production Crew who don’t just build stages, they build atmospheres. You’re the muscle and magic behind our floors.

🎯 Your Role

You’ll be the hands and heart of our event setup, transforming empty spaces into BP’s signature dark, energetic environments. This is physical, fast-paced work where every bolt tightened and light hung shapes the night.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rig Up & Rig Down: Set up and tear down lighting, sound systems, stages, decor, and all event infrastructure, efficiently and safely. We are looking for different people for the crew, you don't have to know everything, even if you can help with one of the mentioned areas, please apply!
• Build Stuff: Construct custom installations, props, and set pieces that enhance our gritty vibe. From simple builds to creative improvisations, you make the space feel alive.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with production leads, safety crew, and artists to ensure seamless execution. Lift, carry, and problem-solve together.
• Adapt on the Fly: Events are chaotic; you thrive under pressure and can pivot when plans change.

🔥 Who You Are

We need someone who loves the grind and the glory. You’ll fit if you:

• Are Hands-On & Practical: You’re comfortable with tools, lifting gear, and getting dirty. Previous experience in event production, construction, or similar fields is a plus but not essential, attitude matters more.
• Physically Capable: Able to handle long hours, heavy lifting, and dynamic environments without losing your cool.
• Match Our Values: Sex-positive, kink-positive, queer-friendly, and anti-mainstream. You understand why BP’s spaces need to feel raw and real.
• Are a Team Player: You communicate clearly, support your crew, and share the load, literally and figuratively.
• Think Creatively: You see potential in scrap materials and can build things that spark emotion, not just function.
• Reliable & Punctual: When we say rig up at 6 PM, you’re there, ready to work.

• Paid Shifts:  pay per event, with the potential to turn into fixed monthly contract!
