Black Planet is a gritty, dancefloor-first collective rooted in 90s alternative club culture. Our nights are sex-positive, kink-positive, and queer-centered, built for the freaks, and the ones who sweat authenticity. we’re here for the heart of the party!!!

We’re looking for DJs who don’t just play tracks, they craft journeys and can read crowds!

🎯 Your Role

You’ll be the pulse of our events, setting the tone and keeping the crowd locked in. Whatever the genre , your mixes should tell a story that’s both personal and communal.

Current Sounds We Have:

• Hard Techno , raw, driving, industrial-tinged. not TIKTOK hard techno 😊
• Trance all subgenres of trance especially Hard Trance and dreamy uplifting trance
• 90s Techno , classic, rough, warehouse-ready
• Retro Hits, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s sing-alongs
• Cunty pop, modern cunty pop that a queer crowd would like!
• Disco funky, glittery, uplifting
• Hyperpop, chaotic, digital, cunty
• Darkwave ,moody, synth-driven, gothic
• Post‑Punk , angular, rhythmic, tense
• Industrial, abrasive, mechanical, noisy
• EBM , body‑music, cold, relentless, Military madness!

If your sound lives outside this list but you believe it belongs at BP, apply through our Club Organizer role and pitch a new night concept. We’re always hungry for fresh ideas.

We’re after DJs who feel the crowd You’ll fit if you:

• Live Our Values: Sex‑positive, kink‑positive, queer or queer‑friendly, and anti‑mainstream. You understand why BP’s vibe matters.
• Have a Distinct Sound: Your sets have personality whether it’s hard‑hitting techno, euphoric trance, or gritty retro. You know how to read a room and take it somewhere.
• Can Send a Mix: You have a recent DJ mix (link or file) that shows your style, flow, and energy. We want to hear you, not just your CV.
• Are Community‑Driven: You play for the dancefloor, not the Instagram story. You’re there to connect, not just perform.
• Thrive in Gritty Spaces: Comfortable in dark, loud, late‑night environments where the real magic happens.
• Are Professional but Passionate: Reliable, on‑time, and clear‑headed, but never boring.

💰 The Deal

• Negotiable Fees: We pay fairly based on your experience, set length, and event economics. Let’s talk numbers.
• Flexible Bookings: One‑off sets or recurring resident spots, depending on the fit.
